Conversion of amino acid thiazolinones to thiohydantoins
The extract containing The amino acid thiazolinone, obtained via liquid-phase or solid-phase degradation, is evaporated, and the residue is treated with a 5 M HCl–CH3COOH mixture (1:2) at 52 °C for 50 min. The sample is dried and redissolved in an appropriate volume of ethanol for subsequent identification.
