INVERTEBRATE ZOOLOGY - H. I. Shcherbak - 2008
KINGDOM MULTICELLULAR ANIMALS (METAZOA)
SUBKINGDOM TRUE MULTICELLULAR ANIMALS (EUMETAZOA)
SECTION TRIPLOBLASTIC (TRIPLOBLASTICA) OR BILATERAL (BILATERIA) ANIMALS
SUBSECTION MOLTING ANIMALS (ECDYSOZOA)
PHYLUM NEMATODES (NEMATODA)
CLASS CHROMADORIA (CHROMADORIA)
The vast majority of species are free-living marine organisms, while freshwater and soil-inhabiting forms are less common, and invertebrate commensals are even rarer. Chromadorians are very small, bear long body setae, and possess well-developed papillae. The stoma contains Teeth and onchi. The cuticle has an annular Structure (Fig. 276). The most common orders are Chromadorida (predominantly marine) and Plectida (freshwater and soil forms).
