Subclass Radiolaria (Radiolaria) are marine planktonic animals found at all depths. They are most abundant in warm seas. Most radiolarians possess a complex internal mineral Skeleton. The body is usually spherical. Numerous filamentous pseudopodia extend from it in all directions. The subclass is represented by five orders (about 8,000 species).
