These are the most highly organized mammals, adapted to diverse environmental conditions. The cerebrum features a well-developed secondary Brain vault—the neopallium—whose right and left hemispheres are connected by the corpus callosum. A Placenta is always present; there are no marsupial pouches or marsupial bones. Newborn young are capable of suckling

milk. The body Temperature of adult placentals is high and constant. Most species have deciduous and permanent generations of Teeth.
