Recurrent verrucous endocarditis
The slide shows the leaflets of the mitral valve, thickened due to Connective Tissue proliferation. Thickening is visible at the edges of the valve. A combination of sclerotic changes and acute destructive valve alterations is present. In such cases, Acquired Heart defects and thromboembolic complications in the Venous Circulation frequently develop.
