Hand Malformation
In this case, the finger phalanx is attached only by a Skin fold, alongside an increased number of digits (polydactyly) and their fusion (Syndactyly). Other limb malformations also occur, such as amputation and aplasia (amelia) of the limbs, as well as phocomelia—the underdevelopment of the proximal limb segments where the hands and feet attach directly to the trunk.
