Mixed liver cirrhosis

Macroscopically, the liver is reduced in size, firm, with large nodules separated by wide and deep grooves. It is characterized by early hepatic failure and late portal Hypertension. It develops As a result of massive Necrosis of the hepatic parenchyma. The areas of necrosis are replaced by dense scar tissue.
