Based on their macroscopic appearance, the following MAIN TYPES OF tumors are distinguished: nodular, infiltrative, and ulcerative. Metastases most frequently occur at the site of the first capillary bed formed by vessels carrying Blood away from the primary tumor localization. The arrest of a tumor embolus may be purely mechanical in nature.
