Hydatidiform mole

The specimen demonstrates a formation representing grapelike clusters of villi composed of numerous vesicles filled with clear fluid. These vesicles may lie freely within the uterine cavity and be discharged from the Vagina. In complete hydatidiform mole, the fetus is absent, whereas in partial mole, the fetus is present but undergoes early demise. Invasive hydatidiform mole may metastasize to the Lungs and vagina.
