Splenomegaly in leukemia
The specimen shows an enlarged Spleen, measuring almost three times its normal size. The splenic tissue has a flaccid consistency and a grayish-cherry color with areas of gray speckling. Histological examination reveals diffuse leukemic infiltration in the splenic parenchyma, replacing the healthy structures of the organ.
