Posterior compartment muscles of the forearm

The Posterior group of forearm Muscles consists of 10 muscles arranged in two layers: superficial and deep (Fig. 120, 121). The superficial layer includes the extensor carpi radialis longus, extensor carpi radialis brevis, extensor digitorum, extensor digiti minimi, and extensor carpi ulnaris. The deep layer is formed by the supinator, abductor pollicis longus, extensor pollicis longus, extensor pollicis brevis, and extensor indicis.
