ORGANIZATION OF WORK OF THE PEDIATRIC AND ADOLESCENT GYNECOLOGY DEPARTMENT

The PEDIATRIC AND ADOLESCENT gynecology department is a structural unit of a regional (city) hospital. Its bed capacity is calculated at one bed per 50,000 children and adolescents in the population, and it is staffed and equipped According to the standards of the regional (city) hospital.

Tasks of the pediatric and adolescent gynecology department:

— provision of highly qualified gynecological diagnostic and therapeutic care to adolescent girls;

— performance of surgical interventions for gynecological disorders;

— provision of emergency gynecological care to adolescent girls;

— Structure/175.html">Implementation of advanced diagnostic and Treatment Methods for adolescent girls with Reproductive System disorders.

The HEAD of the department is appointed from among obstetriciangynecologists of the highest or first qualification category who have completed advanced training courses in pediatric and adolescent gynecology and possess the professional qualifications required to organize this service at the city or regional level.

Responsibilities of the head of the department:

— systematic Supervision of the training of pediatric and adolescent gynecologists;

— oversight of therapeutic, preventive, and health education activities;

— provision of consultative and therapeutic care to girls, and ensuring continuity of care between inpatient and outpatient specialized medical facilities;

— oversight of the work of pediatricians in polyclinics, preschool institutions, schools, and adolescent health offices regarding the early detection of gynecological diseases in adolescent girls and their timely referral to specialists in dedicated clinics.

The diagnostic, therapeutic, and methodological measures within the inpatient facility include the development and implementation of novel Methods for the Diagnosis, treatment, and Prevention of gynecological disorders, as well as the correction of Puberty and sexual development disorders. Therefore, the inpatient facility must be equipped to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the young female patient.
