Management of Labor in Footling Breech Presentations According to Tsovyanov's Method

In footling presentation, Tsovianov's method is also used, which aims to prevent the delivery of the legs until the cervix is fully dilated. It is performed as follows: the vulva is covered with a sterile drape, and the palm of the right hand is used over it to prevent the premature birth of the legs. The fetus effectively assumes a squatting position, thereby expanding the birth canal. After complete dilation occurs and the fetal buttocks have descended onto the pelvic floor, the opposition must be discontinued, and the delivery should proceed as in a breech presentation.
