Obstetric Version (versio obstetrica) is a surgical Procedure used to change an abnormal or unfavorable fetal presentation into a more favorable one, which must always be a longitudinal lie.

The following types are distinguished:

1. External version.

2. Combined (external-internal) version:

a) classical version with fully dilated cervix;

b) version with incompletely dilated cervix (Braxton Hicks version).
