Obstetric Hemorrhage during labor and the postpartum period poses the greatest threat to a woman's life and remains one of the leading causes of maternal mortality. According to M.S. Baksheev, the primary causes of uterine bleeding are as follows:

1. Placental attachment abnormalities;

2. Abnormalities of placental detachment and expulsion of the secundines;

3. Uterine hypotonia and atonia;

4. Blood Coagulation disorders;

5. Trauma to the soft Tissues of the birth canal (see Chapter 22).

6. Amniotic Fluid Embolism.
