BASIC PRINCIPLES OF IMMUNODEFICIENCY TREATMENT

Immunotropic Drugs

"Immunotropic drugs" include agents that correct immune processes (immunocorrectors), immunostimulants, immunosuppressants, and immunomodulators—substances that exert their effects on The Immune System depending on its initial state. Immunomodulators enhance lowered immune status parameters and suppress elevated ones. Thus, based on their effect on the immune system, immunotropic drugs can be classified into immunosuppressants, immunostimulants, and immunomodulators.
