Fatty Liver dystrophy
The liver is enlarged and firm in consistency, with a yellowish, fine-grained pattern visible on its surface and cross-section. The majority of hepatocytes are replaced by fat droplets, accompanied by nuclear atrophy, destructive changes within the hepatocytes, a mesenchymal-cellular inflammatory reaction, and Connective Tissue proliferation. Consequences: development of cirrhosis and Liver failure.
