Gastric polyposis
A polyp is an example of productive inflammation characterized by inflammatory Cell infiltration in the mucosal layer followed by the proliferation of the mucosal epithelium. Consequences: a polyp is considered an obligate precancerous condition with a high probability of malignant transformation. It frequently recurs after surgical removal.
