Chronic Cicatricial Ulcer of the Vulva

An ulcer localized predominantly on the posterior commissure of the vulva occurs in elderly women (following intensive sexual activity) and As a result of trauma (in prostitutes). It is usually solitary, round, painless, sclerotic, with cicatricial margins, atonic, and lacking a tendency toward complete healing. It should be differentiated from a hard chancre, epithelioma, and vulvar tuberculosis.

Treatment: stimulating therapy; topically – antiseptics.
